Pictures & Photos Of South Africa's Sand Steenbras

The Sand Steenbras is a fairly common estuarine South African fish species that can often be confused with the White Steenbras. The Sand Steenbras is quite common in Eastern Cape estuaries and can be found in big schools. They will often take prawn, squid and sardine baits. The Sand Steenbras feeds on the bottom and does not grow to anywhere near the sizes of the White Steenbras. Please see images and photographs of the Sand Steenbras below...
